Greetings chicken lovers:

I live in Arroyo Grande, California, just south of Pismo Beach between L.A. and S. F. I have a small flock consisting of Bill the Rooster, two arucaunas, and two mille flour banties. I keep them because (1) I enjoy them, (2) they give me all the eggs that my wife and I can handle, (3) they keep the bugs out of my garden. I truly appreciate Backyard Chickens.com - it's great to be able to talk with you folks who know so much more than I.

Ahhh, my old stomping grounds. I'm in SW Washington, via Santa Barbara and then Paso Robles. The Central Coast is wonderful but I couldn't afford my dream there of a few acres and small farm. I got it here!
