Hello Everyone!

So excited to have stumbled upon this community :celebrate

We have always had two laying hens on our old property to provide lovely fresh eggs, which I would love if anyone could tell me what breed they are, I will post a picture below. We got them from a friend but simply requested egg layers so thats what he provided.

We moved properties this year and have added to our flock 2 silkie hens they are almost 5 months old now (I got from a friend that breeds all types of birds-including some ducks they went across the boarder to get- which I feel like most of you are from the US?) , 4 easter egger type I gave a home after some city kids were done with their hatching project- which they did a great job at they are so healthy and friendly (I was told the person the eggs came from had Amaracana, Rhode island red and white easter egger)- if you want to help figure them out Ill post a photo as well.

Most exciting of all I have two incubators on the go already, first timer excitement! :fl
My first hatch is expected early November and so far I have 9 fertile silkie eggs and 2 easter eggers from the same friend I got my two original silkies from.
The other incubator just got filled today with all silkie eggs from two different local farms with some pretty good looking birds.

I haven't been this excited in a long time and can't wait to have this community to share my experiences with, if you'll have me!
