Hi! I'm Dina and I'm new to BYC! I've had backyard chickens since March 2022. I started with 4 pullets: 1 Easter Egger, 1 Olive Egger, and 2 Buff Orpingtons. (Now I have 1 new Easter Egger pullet, 1 Black Copper Marans pullet, and the 2 original Buffs.) As a NYC kid who had no access to pets, I've found in my adult life that I love taking care of animals. It's probably my favorite part of backyard chickening, other than the eggs. My other hobbies include dancing (classical ballet and pointe).
I'm an oncology nurse and I work in drug safety - basically ensuring the safety of products that are under development in studies. My husband and I are NC transplants and live with our 2 cats: Coriander and Cheddar.
I've known about BYC since I was researching backyard chickens as a hobby. I finally joined the forum because I wanted to ask some questions of the group (and stop bothering my friend with all of my questions - LOL).
