I just joined BYC and am looking forward to visiting with other members.
I built my first chicken coop last summer and acquired 6 Rhode Island Reds. About 3 weeks ago my husband bought a new coop and 11 chickens at an auction. Seems I am really in the chicken business now! (What am I going to do with all these eggs?) My new group are all Plymouth Rocks and boy oh boy is the rooster pretty. I really enjoy all their antics!
I also have two parrots - a lilac crowned amazon (Charlie) and an umbrella cockatoo (Apollo). Although he thinks his name is Noooo Pollo!!! He likes to chew everything in site.
My other interests are gardening and quilting. New to the quilting too!
We all live on beautiful Grand Lake in Northeastern Oklahoma and love it here. We make jewelry as a profession and travel to most of the major livestock shows and rodeos around the county to ply our trade.
