Hi Everyone. My name is Stephanie Kuhn and I am a brand new chicken keeper. I just recently moved to Connecticut. I got my first flock of baby chicks in April and have been very busy learning. We got the chicken coop and run built over the weekend, so the chicks are almost ready to go into their new home. I have 8 hens and 1 rooster. I have 2 Brahmas, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Olive Egger, 1 Wyandotte, and 3 that were hatched from a friend. One of those is a Cream Leghorn we think. That is also how I got a rooster. 
I am really enjoying watching them grow and I love to interact with them. They will all be egg hens. I have been doing lots of Google searches for as much info as I can learn. That is how I found Back Yard Chickens. I also started a very big garden this year that I look forward to this summer. In addition to my chickens, I have a husband, 2 dogs (ages 5 & 7), and 2 cats (age 16). I am very excited to start this journey and learn as much as possible.
