Just signed up after trolling for a while~ I have had 7 chickens for a year, but recently added 3 ducklings, 5 new chicks and hatched 23 more from my own flock a week ago~~ does that make me crazy? Any suggestions are welcome :)

Hello Oregon!! Thank you for the welcome. Just to make sure I really am not crazy~~~ I didn't include that these additions are currently living in my spare living room. The 3 ducklings are in a 4' kiddie pool, the 5 juvenile chicks are in a cat play pen and the new hatches are in an indoor rabbit cage under a heat lamp~~I am gearing to integrate the 5 in with my current 6 (5 hens and a rooster) slowly of course and then when the 23 are feathered and old enough I am keeping 8 to hopefully integrate as well and I have someone interested in taking the balance, but only when they are ready to go outside. I just love these guys!! I can't wait to see what my hatchlings look like as adults~~ the hens are RI reds, Black and Red Sex links and Auracaunas. The rooster is a Silver Lace Wynette. We will see~ the colors right now are pretty interesting. I see your caption is overrun with chickens so maybe you understand ;)

Oh, we DO understand. It is what we call "chicken math" around here on BYC. You start with 3 birds, then you add 5 more, then you add 7 more and before you know it, you have 35!!!! 2+5=14 LOL We are all chicken crazy around here!!
