I don't think it will hurt them but there are things in the layer crumble not present in the starter. You might consider buying some layer and mixing in with the starter.

Well i GOT EM I got 4 red stars and ended up picking up 2 white leghorns..thanx to my gf.... all pullets around 17 weeks, and i do have to say whomever the feed store purchased these pullets from are great, They are so gentle and not afraid of humans at alll!! One leghorn contests a bit when i picked her up but otherwise is fine, the others are so docile although the red crosses did get debeaked but thankfully not bad at all, looks like just the tip, I wonder why they didn't do it to the leghorns...id rather they not do it at all.....The stars have the typical feathering and weigh around 2 1/2-3lbs now and the leghorns around 2 lbs, and look a little dusky with dirt!! They are eating and drinking, They are spending the next couple of days in close quarters until i finish up their townhouse..Pics soon to come whne i figure out how

My Achin back,.....ALMOST done with the coop ...Went too big but I can always add more yeea!!! ..... 5 ft wide 8 ft long 5 ft high....for 6 chickens??? Pics coming soooooooon...promis
