Salatin's methods are as sound as he is. He's a very knowledgeable source of information! We built 2 of his 10'x12' pastured poultry pens. You can use them for layers, broilers, turkeys, etc... Use aluminum instead of the corrugated galvanized steel panels like mine. It'll save a lot of weight.

Happy chickens on Christmas eve morning. We're getting quite a few eggs for not doing any supplemental lighting. We also just switched to soy-free organic feed.

Australorps are good ones. That's what my flock are. My rooster in my avatar is a Splash Australorp.
