We were told he was bought this spring as a baby, so about the same age as our girls. We have him separated right now. He does pace the fence kine by their pen like he wants to be over there with them. His wings are destroyed and I don't want him to start getting pecked. I've read chickens will pick on each other if one is wounded.Hi Crissy! Welcome to BYC!How old is the rooster? How does he behave with the rest of the birds?
Here's a couple of my husband holding him.I would keep him separated if he's wounded. (If they can see each other while they're separated, it's easier when you actually introduce them.) Can you try to get some pictures of him?![]()
