I just got ducklings today, and I want to be successful. Is there a trick to keeping them alive other than keeping them warm, fed, and watered with their vitamins. I was unsuccessful before and don't want the same thing to happen again. Thanks

Make sure they have water deep enough to dunk their head and clean out the nose.
Mine never like it as hot as chicks. So make sure its not too hot, and they have plenty of space to get far away from the heat if needed.
I always put good organic apple cider vinegar in their water. All flock raiser feed instead of chick feed. No medicated feed for ducks.
And i sprinkle nutritional yeast- for the niacin ducks need- i sprinkle on the feed. And sprinkle a little chick grit in the feed as well. Since i feed dried meal worms and peas for treats.
And enjoy what kinds did you get? And how many?

I'm not sure of the breed. It's whatever they sell at tractor supply. I got 4. Also, I'm not sure how to tell how old they are, or if they are male or female. I got a chicken waterer from tractor supply. I will also let them play in a small bowl of water during the day when I can watch them

The darkest one with stripes on face is a rouen duckling
The chocolate is most likely a - khaki campbell (could possibly be a chocolate runner duck) which would stand real tall and skinny as it gets a little older.
The two yellow i cant see their face but are probably pekins.
Could be a couple other breeds possibly if they arent pure yellow.
And look less than a week for sure. Prob just a few days old when you got them.
And yes they need food and water at all times while this young
