So glad to find you !! This is by far the best site I've seen. I've already had questions answered and learned lots.

I only have 2 hens ... bought them the first part of March and have enjoyed them sooooo much. The only thing, I wish I would have handled them more when they were chicks. The RIR always runs when I get too close to her, but the leghorn will eat out of my hand although she runs too if I move too fast.

Waiting for those "golden" eggs (as my husband calls them)

Welcome Pat! We have 2 RI Reds and one Leghorn that we got when they were pullets and the Leghorn is by far the friendliest. I think they are just a friendlier breed. (And I have to confess, she's my favorite.)
