if they are roaming a large place it may be they are hiding their eggs out. you can try keeping them in until later in the day. after they would of laid and put a fake egg in the laying box

Welcome to BYC. Chickens do not like change. They are still adapting to their new home, may even molt before they restart laying.
 
Sadly my beautiful chickens became victims to the local fox!! I was extremely upset and felt I had not protected them well enough. After speaking with my neighbours I now realize about 5 of our neighboring farms all had the same issue. My husband is now in the process of building a new fox proof chicks coop . Fingers crossed we don't have any more issues, it was so upsetting to think of my chickens being taken.
