Hi from Knoxville, TN!!

I forgot to mention that I do have ventilation for them. She keeps coming over to the window and putting her beak in the corner as if to try to get some fresh air. :( not sure what to do!!!

How crowded is the incubator? That is really pretty normal behavior for chicks to go to the edge and lay like that ... If you are sure your temps/humidity are correct and you have all the vents open, I would let her be for now, especially if there more eggs in the incubator that are pipping or zipping at the moment... I usually take chicks out once a day or so during a hatch especially if they are crowded, though some people wait a couple of days.

They have lots of room. There is two of them that have hatched and one egg left to go. That egg has no sign of movement, pipping or any sounds. The one that has been panting is almost dry. The humidity is 59 and temp 100. Should I move the last egg to be hatched into my other incubator that is also in lockdown with hatch day on Friday? that way I can get the temp down in the incubator with the 2 chicks.

Thanks for the welcome!!!

I have two baby chicks from the babor. I just posted a question about one of the chicks. She hatched about 3 or more hours ago and still has some more drying off to do. But it looks like she is panting now!! The temp is about 100 and humidity is 65. She opens her beak and keeps it open and then pants. :( Should I put her in the brooder??? Help!!
She is probably panting because she is a little hot, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. While not optimal, 100 degrees is not a harmful temperature for young chicks. Leave her in the incubator until she is 90% dry and fluffy, then put her in a brooder.

Good luck!
