She is probably panting because she is a little hot, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. While not optimal, 100 degrees is not a harmful temperature for young chicks. Leave her in the incubator until she is 90% dry and fluffy, then put her in a brooder.Thanks for the welcome!!!
I have two baby chicks from the babor. I just posted a question about one of the chicks. She hatched about 3 or more hours ago and still has some more drying off to do. But it looks like she is panting now!! The temp is about 100 and humidity is 65. She opens her beak and keeps it open and then pants.Should I put her in the brooder??? Help!!
