Hi everyone,

I'm new to the world of raising chickens! My fiancé and I have always wanted chickens of our own and the new place we moved into in November of '12 came with a barn! We have 16 acres of land, but 85% of it is hill. We plan to have chickens for eggs/pets and goats for clearing out areas we can't. I love animals and my fiancé has Been raised a lot on a farm, but weve never raised our own farm animals.

I'm a researchaholic and want to make sure I'm providing enough space, the best food, and giving each hen a home for its entire life not just while its laying..etc,..

I look forward to learning more and being a part of Your community! I have many questions but I will post those in the appropriate sections.
