Oh that is ashame i will have to take it to a farm! We are not allowed to keep cockrerels in residential areas in london! What a real shame, i definitely will get a couple of chicks i think, i have really got attached to him

If it's not crowing now keep it to see if it does. Silkies are notoriously hard to sex and I keep my that I'm wrong!

That is to bad that you will have to get rid of him. It definitely leaves a patch in your heart when a member of the flock has to be sent away because you really have grown very close to that member. As for the intro I am so happy you joined us here on our roost at BYC! This is my first welcome since I returned to the forum, so I may be a little rusty lol. . So lets begin. I agree with the age estimate of 4 months so that was a quickie. You said you were looking for chicks to have them call your roost home. Well our Buy, Sell, and Trade thread should help out with that. There you can browse different chickens and other things to see if there are any cheap chickens in your area or post something telling people you are looking for some chicks.

I'm thinking pullet. My silkie cockeral had pretty large wattles at 3mths. I don't see any on this picture.
