That is to bad that you will have to get rid of him. It definitely leaves a patch in your heart when a member of the flock has to be sent away because you really have grown very close to that member. As for the intro I am so happy you joined us here on our roost at BYC! This is my first welcome since I returned to the forum, so I may be a little rusty lol. As usual I will give you all the links you need and treat you like royalty

. So lets begin. I agree with the age estimate of 4 months so that was a quickie. You said you were looking for chicks to have them call your roost home. Well our Buy, Sell, and Trade thread should help out with that. There you can browse different chickens and other things to see if there are any cheap chickens in your area or post something telling people you are looking for some chicks.

There are a few other links I will leave you. The first is link I recommend to ALL BYC members because no matter how experienced or unexperinced you are it helps tremendously. There are updated articles for you to browse in a very broad area of many subjects.

However if you are looking for a particular subject then see if there is a thread regarding it so if you are looking for Raising Baby Chicks that forum will have more articles and post then the Learning Center and is easier to locate. Here are some direct links you may enjoy.

I hope you are enjoying BYC so far and the last link I promise lol is a Family Life link if you have nay free time to post some pics and updates on your flock.

I hope you stay with us for a long time and enjoy BYC as much as I do. Best of luck to you and your flock!

If it does indeed crow, and thus he has to go, at least you have been inspired by your experience with this first chicken to get more....and enter the world of chicken people...
