Hi, We're new at Backyard Chickens. A very generous friend gave me some Dominique eggs to incubate with my school kids. 1 hatched. The kids fell in love. We called her Solo. I planned to give the chick back to her but instead she asked if I'd like 3 more Dominiques to keep her company. Of course I did! They she asked if I'd like 4 more, being we didn't know how many were hens and how many were roos. So now we have 9 chicks between the ages of 4 weeks and 6 weeks. We are loving our chicks and I posted a question on converting a horse stall in our barn into a coop. Hope someone can help guide us with this! Thanks! And so glad to be here. Mary

Horse stalls make great chicken coops, just gotta make them rodent/predator proof and have good ventilation.
