Hi! I am new to this site and to raising chickens! However, we just ate our first fresh eggs!!! I only have 1 chicken laying so far but the others are close behind, I can feel it! :)

Nothing like finding your first egg, so did you find it in the nesting box ?????

Putting a fake egg in the nesting box really helps to keep them putting the egg's in the same spot every time ........

Yes! She has been laying for about a week! The eggs are always in the same spot and in the same box! She is laying early in the morning!

Just found my first brown egg about a hour ago! Same spot as the white egg! Is that normal for them to lay in the same spot as another chicken?

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. It's always exciting to get your first eggs. In answer to your question, yes, it is normal for multiple chickens to lay eggs in the same nest.
