I am a new member to BYC but not to chickens. My first pet, when I was 7 years old was a Barred Rock biddy that I raised from a chic bought at the local feed store. As I am now 61 that was a while ago, but have had chickens off an on for my entire life. I currently have 5 Barred Rock, 4 new Hampshire, 5 SL Wyandott, 4 Black Star and 4 Buff Orpington pullets that are 20 weeks and already the Wyandotts and
Black Stars are laying. (Just started this week.) Also have 2 Buff Orpington Roosters and 1 Americauna Rooster, all three 20 weeks old, 5 Black Austalorps that I hatched myself, 2 roosters and 3 pullets, and have 4 White Giant and 1 Polish egg that are due to hatch on the 11th of March. I am an Ordained minister, married to Sandy, and have 6 children, all grown, 11 grand children, 3 dogs and two cats.
