Hi all,

Im in south florida and new to the forum. I have had chickens in the past, bought them as pullets. Now I am starting with chicks ordered online and not sure about what to do. I have a coop from my last chickens and I would like to brood the chicks directly in the coop. In south florida the average temperature right now is between 77-85 and climbing. Summer its about 90 with 90% humidity!! My plan is to add a brooder box into my coop. My main question is temperature and heating lamps. It is always hot here and summer is right around the corner (basically its always summer!!) Do I need heating lamps for them if the temperature is in the range mentioned?
