My name is Angela and my family and I just got started with chickens after a many year hiatus without them. What began with 7 chicks from tractor supply has now multiplied to 22 :) we have silkies, white leghorns, Dominiques, rir, blue Cochin bantams, buff Brahma bantams, lakenvelders and one tiny little hen we picked up at tractor supply because she was obviously different than the rest.

Hello and welcome to BYC!

Most of us had started out with just a few and you know chicken math, they seem to multiply! I love the variety of chicks you have, I also have a bunch of different breeds! I suppose if I very wants to have baby chicks I'll have to separate certain ones! :frow

Thats what I figured too, if I want certain eggs I have a triple coop I can seperate them in :) I ordered golden seabrights as well but lost all three within a few hours of getting them, so I suppose ill be making another order to get more...and I REALLY wanted black tailed white Japanese bantams so ill get them too....glad we built a huge run!!!! Lol!! I figured on a few too many roos so the numbers should go down as they grow :)
