Hello everyone, My name is Melissa and I am glad to be here. I am from southeastern NM where I live with my DH and 8 beautiful Chickens, I have 3 Rhode Island Reds (we call these 3 the "red gang since they seem to be in charge), 1 silver-laced wyandotte, 1 dominic Hen and rooster (the rooster is named Guy) and 2 little hamburgs. We recieved our shipment of 37 youngsters from the hatchery. I am sad to say we found one of our sultans dead this morning.

I am hoping the other two will be okay but I am watching closely! Thank you everyone and I look forward to meeting everyone.

Thank you for your concern. I now lost two of them,

bummer, but luckily the others are doing quite well. I think that is the part of raising chicks I don't get used to, but I guess it happens in the wild too.
