Hello everyone. I am very new to raising chickens and have just purchased 8 Rhode Island Reds and 4 (gosh I forgot the breed

), but they are black with a white spot on top of the head and will be black and white when grown. I home school our 3 children and love every minute of it. Our family includes 2 Arabian Mares, 3 dogs, 1 litter trained rabbit, 2 cats, and 12 chicks. I'm glad I found this forum!

Sounds like you have Barred Rocks- I have 7 who are great layers.

I live near Fort Bragg, NC and have been to Wilmington plenty of times.
