Sounds delicious... just don't use fresh onion, onion salt, or onion powder in the food served to a dog or chickens. Some owners don't think onion/garlic is harmful but I don't play Roulette w/ our birds' diet.I’m cooking a turkey tomorrow. The church in my little (don’t blink, you’ll miss it) town, had turkeys to give away. My feathered velociraptors will love it!

Garlic, Shallot, Leek
Onions (Allium spp) are toxic to poultry. If they are ingested in large enough quantities (more than 0.5% of the bird's body weight), onions can damage red blood cells and cause hens body anemia.
All forms of onion are potentially toxic--dehydrated, cooked, powder, raw and includes garlic, leeks, shallots, and other plants of the Allium family
