I am new to raising chickens. I didn't even really want to but my wife insisted so here we are. lol. We ordered 8 speckled Sussex and 8 barred rock (1 of each to be male). The hatchery sent a total of 17. They arrived this past Friday (5-29-20), one didn't make it through the first night. Since then they seem to all be happy and healthy. It has been fun to watch them play keep away when they catch a small moth or beetle. A big thank you to the posters here as I've found answers to most of my questions already.
