Hi! or Howdy! Got my first chickens from a friend who couldn't keep his chickens due to a zoning ordinance and code enforcement finding out so I have a young flock of 2 roosters (Mille Fleurs and beautiful) and 3 hens (1 Mille Fleur and 2 Sebrights). They now have a lovely coop - aka the chicken condominium - my husband built for them. The entirely enclosed run area is 7'W x 8'L x 7'H and the attached coop is 3 feet off the ground with a wire floor that can be closed in the winter and is 3'Lx7'Wx4'H. We let them out supervised on short yard visits that were increasingly longer and less supervised to the point where we can just open the run in the morning and close it at night after the head count and bedtime story and figs. The flock are about 15 weeks old now and so much fun.
