Hello,
My wife and I just started our journey with chickens about two weeks ago.

We are very excited about it and have been keeping track of their progress on our website to help give back to the community our experiences.

They are still in our basement, but should be ready to go outside in a few weeks!

Fed them their first kitchen scraps last night!

Hello and :welcome
I'm glad things have been going well with your chickens so far, and I hope you have many rewarding experiences raising them! Our chickens love kitchen scraps too. Funny really, they are big fans of chicken especially.
Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D

welcome to the world of chicks, guess we're starting out about the same time. My May 23rd chicks are doing well, have 16 silver lace Wyandottes, cuter than cute. today I cut up sweetcorn for the darlings and oh yeah, they really like yogurt. Have you already built your coop and setup for the adolescent chicken stage, you know, when they keep flying out?
Not sure where in Northern Virginia your at, I'm at Haymarket. We are just finishing up the odds and ends on our coop, accusing my husband that he is now "pimping out" the coop,... we have pictures of our coop on the website, check it out, we're really pleased on how it turned out.
