Hi everyone! I have been a lurker here for weeks, finding lots of useful information and funny stories here at Backyardchicken. Thought this morning it was time to introduce myself and make a profile here,

I live in northern Norway with my big family and all of our chickens and quails. We have a group of diverse breeds like polish, marans, mille fleurs and light sussex. In the hatching machine I also have 6 living araucana/ameraucana chicks (rumpless and hopefully tufted) to be hatched in a few days. We recently also discovered Serama Bantam, which I am hoping to breed and eventually show. We also have very recently started with couturnix japonica, in different colors. I am pretty much a noob in quail keeping so I have already learned alot from this forums experienced quail keepers and breeders and hopefully I will learn more today if I get some answers on my first quail thread :D

Hi and :welcome
from Australia, nice to meet you.

You have some cool breeds. I think mille fleurs are very pretty chickens. Good luck with your hatch and showing!
I hope you find all the info you need here, and enjoy the site. :D

Hi and welcome to the forum! I hope you have a good time and meat some fun people. I also have some mille fleurs, they are cute little birds. My great granfather imigrated to the United States from Norway.

A fellow norwegian almost then? :confused:g: We recently lived in Grand Forks, ND and there were really lots of people up there with norwegian or scandinavian heritage. :)

Thanks all of you for the warm welcome!
