I'm not actually here for chickens. 
I have Coturnix quail, and keep getting directed to this forum on search engines so figured the polite thing to do would be to join.
My neighbors on two sides have chickens, and goodness, they're loud (as far as I can tell, there aren't any regulations against roosters, ugh). Technically I could keep chickens (under city regulations) but my yard isn't large enough for it to be in the chickens' best interests unless I knock down my back deck (and husband says nope, ha ha). So that's why I have quail instead, as they need less square footage and are perfectly happy in a cage. And they're so darned cute!
