Hopefully things are better in Russia these days?? My nieces were adopted from just outside of Moscow ten years ago. Things were pretty tough there then.....
 
Where I live, there not so lot of people who is keep a fowls
It is a lot of people who keep a fowls live in the western part of Russia.
More often exhibitions of birds pass in Moscow

Here for example photos from an exhibition in 2009.
I specially went there to photograph a bird.
It is the Oryol breed. They a different colouring.

Russia big and different, I think that in Russia is now quiet. If you think to visit Russia it is necessary to go not to the big cities, but the remote places of Russia, there it is precisely quiet, beautiful both people kind and affable, and are always glad to visitors
