Hi, Very excited to join! We adopted four chicks that my son's class hatched and are enjoying watching them grow. The roosters are going back to the farm so we are keeping our fingers crossed that we get some hens :) Looking forward to learning a lot about how to care for our new family members!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. Our children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loved our chickens and made lap pets of the calmer and more gentle breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for the welcome everyone! It looks like we have three roosters, so we are going to re-home them and get some hens next week.
