Hi y'all! I'm not new to chickens. A collaborative effort with our son produced a nice flock of layers for a few years until a predator got into the coop and wiped them all out. The heartbreak was too much, and I gave up on trying again. Son decided to give it another go this spring and bought another flock with a collection of brahmas and sapphire gems which are doing quite nicely. We ordered our first batch of cornish cross to arrive late August with plans for processing late October. Hoping to glean lots of good information from this site to help us along the way and share what we learn with others!
