Hi !
i'm new member here,
i'm a beginner flockster, having 3 hens since this summer,
i live in south west of France (USDA zone hardiness 8), and i plan to have a bigger flock (maybe 15-20 dual purpose breed chickens), some ducks (for slug control, and maybe some natural foie gras), maybe some geese for predator protection and pasture management,
i've got 2 acres of very steeped land, oriented East / south-east, with a well,
i want to manage my flock the natural / permaculture way,
so i'm going to plant a food/fodder forest for my family and the poultry, to feed to flock, protect them from terrestrial and aerial predators. I want to construct a fox proof coop with does not need a twice daily trip to it,
i'll got plenty of weird questions to ask, as i'm experimenting little explored paths of poultry husbandary, and as i'm a totally noob in flock management !
Thanks
