My husband and I started our small farm one fateful day in Tractor Supply. It all started with a few chickens, barred rock, white leghorns, and red comets...that led to craigslist (I really do my best to support local farmers, but those darn chicks at Tractor Supply were so blessed cute) on to the partridge cochins. Move on two years later, we have about 25 chickens, to many to name, and I am the sucker that will take your unwanted rooster to give them a free place to stay, 1 Bronze turkey, Tom, 1 Bourbon Red turkey, Paul, and 3 Bourbon Red Hens (that all started with raising my own Thanksgiving bird, but darn they are so hard to raise there is no way anyone is going near them Thanksgiving, I ordered ours from the local MEAT market thank you very much!!). Oh I almost forget the pigs, bless Arnold's heart, he is in our freezer now, and I have two red wattle piglets!! So all in all, one fateful trip to Tractor Supply a small farm later!! Luckily the hens pay everyone's way with their eggs!! I also have a wonderful husband, two boys I love dearly age 15 and 4, 4 Bluetick Hounds, and a hotdog! So Welcome to my world!!
