Hi from the Delmarva Peninsula

Barbara and I would like to thank the members that have taken the time to post and share information .
Our Grandparents raised vegetables and free-range chicken's.
My wife and I are newbies .
We just finished our small coop and inclosed run, No chickens yet.
We are just off the Indian River in Southern Delaware.
Married for 49 years, Retired here 11 years ago, about 5 acres, small home , Big barn .
Our hobbies : Gardening of vegetables and Flowers , Garden Trains and RC Air planes.
And now Chickens ? Our friends think we have lost it.
Will try to post pictures of our chickens home, If I can find out how to do that.

This site is great, I agree. I have learned so much here when I was new to chickens myself. I think many people thought I was a little "chicken crazy". Most still do, but quite a few have come around and realized maybe it's not such a bad thing after all.
You will find that chickens aren't "just chickens". Ah, yes, it'll be quite an experience!! Sounds like you have everything you need- except chickens!!
