Hi, I started keeping chickens a year ago and have learnt so much from your forums(thank you!) I have an issue with one of my hens, who has a dirty bottom and has lost weight. They were all wormed just before Christmas, as I had a scare with a hen who we thought had gapeworm. (sadly, she died, but thankfully, none of the others got ill)She is still active and eating and happy in the flock (8 chooks) However, today, in the rain, I noticed that she has a few patches on her back. I haven't got hold of her yet, but it looks like she's lost some feathers. We have seen no evidence of bullying and I'm worried about her. Could it be a molt?? Tapeworm? Any advice would be very welcome. I have DE and dust the coop with this, when I clean it. (I use a deep litter method with straw)Occasionally I put apple cider vinegar in their water. They are totally free range and come into their hut at night, to roost. They also raid the compost heap regularly!
