Hi there, I’m Amanda. Long time reader first time officially signing up! Darling Dear and I live on our little dream farm here in the mountains in California. We have a horse, 3 goats, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 parakeets, 2 rabbits, 1 pig, and 34 chickens! Oh and 3 tiny humans 
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? First got chickens 4 years ago when we moved into our new house. Our first flock was destroyed by a coyote this last September.
. We caught Tractor Supply’s chick clearance sale and quickly replenished as best as we could!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 34! Giving away 5 bantam Ameraucanas and 3 roosters very soon though!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Orpingtons, Easter Eggers, Rhode Island Reds, Dominiques, Salmon favorelles, Wyandotte’s, and Leghorns!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Just being out watching them is amazingly therapeutic. Their curiosity and sense of adventure is fun too. Oh and all the pretty eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I’m a wife, mom, nurse, gardener, crafter and chicken enthusiast!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I think I already have!
