Hello, Im glad I found this sight. Lots good info I was looking for here.
No birds yet came here to learn. My friend found a chicken in the woods and built it a coop and is sparking my interest.
Im trying to see if it can be a new hobby with meat and eggs benefits.
I want to be sure that it wont become a noisy stinky nuisance to the wife and neighbors. I have a green thumb and raised fish fresh and salt for years so Im good with animals. I have two dogs one an energetic cocker who loves birds (not in the romantic sense) would they be another problem? Thanks Boomboom

! I think it depends on the dog and degree of training. My labs simply ignore my ducks and chicks and chickens. Good luck to you!

It really depends on the dog. I suppose if you keep your dog away from the chickens and have a secure coop it would be okay.
