Hi all,

I’ve been benefiting from the wisdom of this community for a few years, and thought it was time to get a bit more involved ;)

We’re a family with young kids living on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. We have a couple acres in a rural area, and have had a small free ranging flock of chickens for a few years now. Just hyline (aka egg machines) but we’re about to branch into incubating and some heritage breeds.
Our main challenges so far have been with raccoons and repeated incidents with a neighbors dog :(

We recently tried to hatch a few Muscovy eggs that we got from friends but only one little duckling made it into the world - Noodle. Waiting to figure out gender on him/her then will be getting some more. (If you’re any good at sexing ducklings, I posted some pictures in the duck forum asking for guesses!)

Looking forward to taking part!

:yesss: We are glad you joined this flock!
