Hi from Washington!

Hi!

I am new to chicken raising and have had a flock since October 2011. We have 5 barredrocks, 2 black tailed marans, and a Blue copper maran (we think) Rooster. Yesterday one of the marans hatched a chick!

If I was a chicken ( and a girl) , I would probably think your rooster was the handsomest! You do have a nice looking little flock.
Congratulations on the new baby! How exciting!
I think it is a BYC rule that if you mention babies, you HAVE to post a picture .

I just looked, and Yup, it's a rule.
Rule number 173- Page 57 of the rule book, paragraph 4, line 2 and I quote " Members are required to post pictures at any mention of baby chicks. Failure to post pictures of babies could result in a sad-face smiley and a time out"
