Hello, I am new to BYC. I am happy to be here and am not only new to BYC, but also a new chicken owner. I got my "hens" from a hatchery back in March. Half of them turned out to be roosters. I had to find homes for them and now have 4 hens and a rooster. I just got my first eggs last week, and had a hard time getting them to lay in their egg box. A neighbor told me to put in a golf ball and voila! Eggs in the egg box!
