I am from Indiana and am new to raising chickens. (Ive raised other birds in the past so have a familiar idea) My wife, 2 kids, and I decided to start raising chickens for the fun, organic, and food prices. Right now we have 4 leggerns, 2 buff orphings, 2 red stars, 1 blue cochin, and just got 6 mixed chicks. I built our coop from the ground up with the help of BYC. We have been raising chickens now for 2 months and should start getting eggs in September, and look forward to the help from all of you at BYC. Thanks
