Welcome to BYC! It's nice to meet you.I have a 3 or 4 year old rooster, my ladies are 2 years older.. he has focused on 1 hen! He keeps jumping on her every chance he gets. She runs from him and if outside, she hides, away from the others. (I've got 5 old hens) am planning on replacing these with new hens as the old ones pass.
The poor hen is aggressive to my guineas as well as the 5 chickens that are now 5 months old. All the other chickens leave them alone. So I keep the young ones separated at night until I need to keep them all inside when the snow flies. I have 2 5×10 foot stalls, so not an issue to keep them separated. But why is my roo so focused on this one hen!
