Welcome to BYC!!
My sister built her coop inside her barn and has the run attached to a window on the barn.
I built my coop outside my detached garage, it isn't attached to it because I would've needed a permit to build the coop if it couldn't be moved. I also built the coop on the east side (sort of on the south east corner) of the garage because I get wind all year round that comes out of the west or north west.

:welcome :frow Everyone is different as well as their situations. My coops aren't attached to my barn but are behind it. I started with one coop but over many years added more coops. Plan well. There are some things I wished I could change but they are what they are. Good luck and have fun...

Thank you! I also live in a windy area so I think the east side is the best place to situate the coop.

We live on top of a hill. One of the highest points in our county so we get the winds. My coops are on the east side of our barn. Plan well because it's difficult to make any changes after the fact. Again, good luck and have fun...
