Are these good prices I give the best care as I can to the birds!

I would not expect to get that much for cockerels unless they are show quality, and even then you may still have boys leftover. Pricing is going to depend on your area, have you sold chicks this year? What are chicks going for around you? Have you shown your birds, what did a judge say and how were they graded/how did they place? Where did your stock come from? Where are you advertising & selling your birds?

Can’t speak for anything else, but why are the blacks more expensive than the bourbon reds?

I would make your Australorp $5 like the Rhode Island Red. Only straight run chicks near me that sell for less than $5 are barnyard mixes.

I did sell chicks this year and I’m selling my 3 month olds July 26. I only have 13 left! I have 4 cockerels and 6 pullets and 3 cockerels (5 weeks) chicks 1-2 old are same price. I have never shown birds. My chickens(the mothers&fathers) the guy i bought them from said they were show quality but he never showed them I got them at a really REALLY good deal!! Because the guy had a problem with his hands currently I’m making business cards so then I can leave them at the local feed store and I go to the farmers markets and I’m thinking about making a fb acc!

I’m not exactly sure but Norfolk blacks are more expensive in my area but I can move it to 18$
