Hi! Thank you for welcoming me to the BackYard Chicken Community!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to owning chickens, but have been around them plenty my whole life!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently 15 2 day old chicks, but 5 will be going to another family leaving me with 10
(3) What breeds do you have? A mix of polish and 1 Mottled Houdan- and my Mystery Chick
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Just getting started! But excited to have new little backyard friends that eventually feed me breakfast!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Other outdoor activities, gardening, hiking, going to the beach, cooking, planning parties!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. It’s just me, my Great Pyrenees Frankie and my two cats Moët and Paul! I’m the General Manager of a beautiful Farm and Market and Cottages in Cape May New Jersey called Beach Plum Farm
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was looking for answers and it led me to you!
