Hi everyone. I’m Sabrina. I have had chickens for the last year or so and I never knew I could love something so much. My girls are one of my happy places. I find myself standing on my porch or in their coop just watching them and sometimes talking to them. It is so relaxing and fun.
I have been free ranging my girls from the time they were old enough, but now that my husband has some forced “extra time” he is making a run for them so I can keep them closer to home. We have lost three hens to dogs recently and want to keep the a little safer. I’m not sure how they will react to the smaller area but I guess we will see soon.
We introduced a rooster about four or so months ago. He’s a sweetheart and a gentleman to the ladies. He does a great job keeping them fed and bred. 😉 We are incubating some eggs right now to see if it’s something else we can add to our chicken fun.
Anyway, I hope to get some great ideas from you guys and look forward to any input you have for me.
