Hi I am new here and will be trying to hatch my first eggs on friday!!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jessica and I live on Long island NY. I am going to try to hatch 12 eggs with my Genesis 1588 with auto turner. I did tons of research and have heard great things about it. I am so excited to raise chickens but so nervous none of them will hatch!

Please give me any tips and advice that you can!!

I can't wait to learn everything I can on this site

What kind of eggs? Are these from your chickens or are they eggs that were shipped to you?

I have 6 Buff Orpingtons
and 10 Barred Rocks

eggs..they are not from my chickens, these are my first . I tried to find eggs locally but no luck so they are being shipped to me!

wish me luck, I have been reading the board all day for info!

Welcome to our little funny farm forum

The thread you were refered to is a good start.
When are your eggs due................
Get your inc. plugged in a going so it will be stable.
and let your shipped eggs set for 12 to 24 hrs. before putting them in.
Good Luck and remember, there are no dumb questions.......................
I can tell you I have had a million of them as things came up during the hatch and after.
