Go ahead and set them! Then get the hygrometer when you can, calibrate it and slip it in
I had mine in before I set but took it out after 2 days because it seemed wrong even with the 1st calibration, so I calibrated again and slipped it back in. I was right, I didn't leave it in the bag long enough for it to fully read right the 1st time.
Best advice is.... don't over think it, ask if you need something and read everything you can!
