I've tried apple cider vinigar , but it hasn't helped too much with some of the chicks loose valv problems is there anything else?

Hi and welcome to BYC. On the whole, starter food has all the nutrients that a chick needs to be be healthy. You could always search for

Why do they need a boost? Are they having diarrhea with or without blood. With blood they may have coccidiosis which needs to be treated or can debilitate them rapidly. Your vet could check a poo sample.
